Paola Contessa, Ph.D.

Research Scientist

Dr. Contessa is a Research Scientist at Delsys, Inc. She received a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Padova (Italy) in 2010. Before joining Delsys, she held several positions at Boston University (USA) including Research Scientist at the NeuroMuscular Research Center and Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training of Sargent College.

Her research interest includes EMG, motor unit decomposition, motor control and muscle force generation strategies.
