This option controls the format in which numbers are displayed in Grid View and Quick View. Engineering notation displays numbers using the SI prefixes, where the power of ten must be a multiple of three and is indicated by a prefix (µ, m, etc.). Scientific notation displays numbers with one digit to the left of the decimal separator and an exponent (5.12e-3).
