Threshold Search

The Threshold Search threshold calculation takes in an approximate cycle length and starting time, and a user specified search window.  It begins at the starting time and searches within the search window for a local maximum.  Then, the calculation moves forward one cycle length (from the maximum) in the data and repeats the search process.  The output of this calculation is a 50% duty cycle square waveform with rising edges where the peaks are found.  The calculation is useful for thresholding on periodic events, where the period is approximately known within some error margin.  Because of the search window, the algorithm will accurately find peaks even as the true rate of periodicity varies slightly throughout the file.

The pre- and post- processing options for this calculation operate as in the Threshold calculation.
