Advances in Management and Rehabilitation of Upper Extremity Injuries
The New England Sports and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Summit 2016: Advances in Management and Rehabilitation of Upper Extremity Injuries is a one day conference targeting physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants, athletic trainers, nurses, chiropractors, and primary care physicians. The course will focus on a comprehensive evidence based approach to evaluation, management, and non-operative and post-operative rehabilitation of selected orthopedic disorders. This program will feature an integrated format combining lectures, open panel discussions, case studies, and hands-on laboratory-style breakout workshop sessions offering the opportunity to apply presented concepts.

At the conclusion of this activity participants should be able to:
- Develop hands-on skills for evaluation and treatment of designated upper extremity musculoskeletal conditions
- Integrate current evidence in non-operative and post-operative rehabilitation of specified upper extremity pathologies
- Recognize factors influencing pathogenesis, diagnosis, and management of various upper extremity conditions and dysfunction
- Discuss influence of the kinetic chain and breathing patterns in upper extremity injury and rehabilitation
