Dr. Charles J. Heckman, Professor of Physiology and Associate Chair for Research in the Department of Physical Therapy & Human Movement Sciences at the AbilityLab (USA), will visit Delsys on Friday March 15th to present his research.

The input-output function of the motoneurons varies over a wide range, depending on the interaction between neuromodulatory inputs from the brainstem and local inhibitory inputs within the cord. We have developed biologically accurate computer simulations of a motor pool to link motor unit firing properties to motoneuron inputs in humans and animals.
