Dr. Evangelos Christou and Dr. Basma Yacoubi, both of the Department of Applied Physiology & Kinesiology in the College of Health & Human Performance, University of Florida (USA), will visit Delsys on Friday November 2nd to present their research.

Seminar Title: Multi-motor unit activity and the control of motor output in health and disease

In this presentation, Dr. Christou and Dr. Yacoubi will focus on how the activation of multiple motor units alters the control of the motor output for the following experiments:

  • concentric and eccentric contractions in healthy adults;
  • reaction time of older adults;
  • steadiness in essential tremor.
