The Comprehensive Textbook of Clinical Biomechanics (April 2018) by Professor Jim Richards is a thought-provoking textbook suitable for students and professionals from both the research and clinical worlds.

Ground-breaking discoveries in understanding the neuromuscular system by revered scientists from Francisco Redi (1626-1697) to Carlo J. De Luca (1942-2016) can be found in chapter 10.

Supported Conferences

Students attending the following scientific conferences only will be considered:

  • July 4 – 7, 2018 European College of Sport Science Dublin, Ireland
  • July 8 – 12, 2018 World Congress of Biomechanics Dublin, Ireland
  • August 8 – 11, 2018 American Society of Biomechanics Rochester, Minnesota

Who Can Participate

The applicant must be a student at a recognized institution of higher education.  The applicant must have submitted an abstract to one of the supported conferences, and the abstract must be accepted for presentation as either a poster or oral presentation.

We will consider multiple abstract submissions from a single student regardless of conference, however a student can only receive one textbook.  Should multiple students submit for an award using the same abstract and the abstract is deemed worthy of receiving a textbook, we will only provide one textbook for the abstract.

Deadline

Students have until August 31st at 11:45pm EST to submit an application.

Announcement

Winners will be announced during the month of September 2018.

Disbursement

Winners will be contacted individually for appropriate shipping address.

About the Author:

Mr. Ducey earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from The George Washington University in 2014. He currently serves as a Client Support Engineer for Delsys, Inc., where he provides technical assistance and training to Delsys customers in a variety of physiological fields from across the world. In addition, he represents Delsys at international conferences and educates prospects and customers alike on how Delsys technology can be implemented successfully for a variety of protocols.
