Our decomposition algorithm uses fundamental principles of signal processing to extract motor unit action potentials from recorded sEMG signals. The end result provides action potential shapes and firing instances of as many as 50 motor units active during a voluntary muscle contraction.The motor unit activity reveals the neural code that regulates force and movement.
